This week I felt that I learned alot through the readings. Reading about different countries and there beliefs is intersting to me. It does make me very sad to see some women being treated so unfairly. It also made me sad that there children will grow up to learn the same things and what there parents feel is wrong and what is right. i hoope that through this class people learn about different cultures and that there organizations that try there best to help peoople. i also though that this class should do some type of fundraiser or send things to people who need help especially since the holiday season is coming. Through this chapter i have learned more about different religions as well which is interesting to me. I think that as a supplemental reading it would be nice to hear stories from some of the women who went through the same things as the ones who did in the readings. When I am at work I have a variety of customers who come in from different countries and religions and this chapter makes me think about how some of the couples come in and how they treat there wife and or child. I had also remembered hearing about the 8 year old who’s mother could not get her a dicorce on the news which seemed like a long time ago to me and it made me sad to see that it hadn’t made much progress yet. Living with that man makes me wonder that when she does hit puberty if she will get a divorce or will the man had scarred her to much by then.
